The Search for The Scroll

Utopian State Library: Underground Level 20 (2 minutes before the continuation of The Utopian Senate Assembly)

Ain Khairi: My! This place is huge!

Madcap Murdoch: Yes, and it's dark...damp...chilling...mysterious...

Ain Khairi: We don't need to go into such details do we?

Madcap Murdoch: We do! We need to spice up this whole scenario. Give it a little bit of drama or something...

Ain Khairi: Everything seems okay around here. Dusty, since nobody came this far  to look for books...but surprisingly most of the electronics is still operational...and in good condition!

Madcap Murdoch: I read that back in the old days they were stashing findings and artifacts inside the lower chambers of the Utopian State Library. The scrolls that we are looking for must've had made it's way here as well.

Ain Khairi: Um...How do we find it?

Madcap Murdoch: Like the usual girl! You're the Librarian...go check the item logs stashed inside the database computer. If the scroll had been here, we will hit the bulls eye straight away...

Ain Khairi: ...and if it's not?

Madcap Murdoch: ...then we need to find out what happened to it, where were the scrolls moved to...start a new search, probably...

Ain Khairi: Probably?

Madcap Murdoch: ...quit yapping the possibilities and at least DO SOMETHING!

Ain Khairi: You're a feisty one...

Madcap Murdoch: Yeah, and the database computer power source is located on top of the wooden table.

Ain Khairi: Looking at this console...I've just remembered...i wonder if Kanbei found his radio?

Madcap Murdoch: He can hug his radio all day long.

Ain Khairi: I mean he went back there just to get an update on the Utopian Senatorial meeting results. I mean, what is he...Queen Rasa's fan or something?

Madcap Murdoch: Is that a spark of jealousy or your friend seems to have an interest on older women?

Ain Khairi: Wha...what?

Madcap Murdoch: The outcome of the Senate Assembly seems to be of higher value for him. I tought kids nowadays aren't obsessed with politics...

Ain Khairi: I am turning on the database power source now....whoaaaa...

Madcap Murdoch: That's funny...your wishes do damn come true. The settings, broadcasting channel and signal of the monitor indicates that the media was tuned into the airing of the Utopian Senate Assembly as well.

Ain Khairi: ...as if someone had been staying in this basement and keep track on the affairs at the surface.

Madcap Murdoch: Coincidence? Maybe they were olders channels that shares similar bandwitdh with the ones that the Utopian News Network using today in the present...

Ain Khairi: ...creepy!

Madcap Murdoch: Well, since the broadcasting network is now online and there's a few minutes less to the final conclusion of the boring state meeting, the least i can do is witnessing the outcome.

Ain Khairi: Oh yeah? Which part is that?

Madcap Murdoch: Always the best part my dear. The war...the rebels...the future of Utopia Federation will be decided in...three...two....one...

No Stones Left Unturned!

The Utopian Federation Library Archives: Five minutes before the end of the Utopian Queen and the Senate Assembly recesses session.

Bada: Glad you all could come down to me and help guys...we don't have much time...so i will make the briefing straighforward and quick.

Ajica: Great! Straight to the core! No wishy-washy...

Bada: So far, i've encountered the librarians working in the library. I tried to extract some information about the scroll, however i was unsuccessfull...so far...

Phantome': Extracting information? More like murdering without reason...

Bada: They are resisting and uncooperative. I'll amend for my sins...but i have no choice. I won't jeopordize my nation over blind courtesy.

Ajica: What if the librarians really on't know about the scrolls hideout?

Bada: What if, THEY knew, swearing loyalty to whoever they raise their oath of secrecy too, and bringing the information to their end?

Ajica: ...

Phantome': We never knew, we always never...never...knew.

Bada: I believe there are a few more librarians still hiding in this premise. I've encountered one person before another one of the staff countered my approach with the wails of a mandrake. So let's assume that the minimum of two librarians is stills in here.

Phantome': Let's spread out. So we can see clealy where's our goal at, in this lingering foggy cloud.

Ajica: Where shall we start?

Bada: Okay, so here's the plan...

...Phantome' and Vladurac will look for the Librarians. Try to probe them ut from their hiding.

Phantome': Affirmative, i hear you, I will inform you if there's anything new.

Bada: Thank you...Vladurac, you go and accompany her. Track down those librarians., but dont hurt them!

Vladurac: ....

Bada: Ajica, look for the Library Mainframe Terminal. Extract every bits of information regarding the Library structure, hidden rooms, laybrinth...anything! What Phantome' maybe right....the staff may know something or knows nothing.

Ajica: Yes, ma,am.

Bada: Allright, let's get going.

Kanbei's Quest

Kanbei: Looks like i made it back safe and sound. Lucky that the Senate conference still hadn't begun yet...now if i could just find that radio before the enemy spotted me.

...if my memory is correct it's supposed to be around here somewhere...come on you old junk, show yourself to me. I have many things to worry about and my time is very short.

...ah there you are. I hope it's still works. If i can get my hands on that...

Gotcha! Now to find a safe place and relay the aftermath of the Utopian Senate Conference. Troublesome that i was denied a complete array of covert technology and rely on whatever i can find to minimize suspicion.

...looks like the radio is running well. Batteries charged, let's get out of here before the Librarian kid ran into troubles.

...speaking of panic, what do we have here?

...well what do you know...(tapping on the security monitor)

...the building security monitor is still operational. I bet they cut corners and killed only the sound alarms...nobody expected that a library would be under attack in any forms or circumstances.

...if i can linked all the security camera altogether, perhaps i can monitor the enemy movement and find out what are they really after.

...the hunter might as well ended up being the hunted.

...but wait, what's this? Looks like the library intruder called out for more reinforcement's. These people are seriously looking for that lost sea scrolls. To bad it's not part of my mission.

...now to look up where's that kid hide herself.

Computer: SEARCH NOT FOUND

Kanbei: This can't be right. I must try one more time.

Computer: SEARCH NOT FOUND

Kanbei: Where could she be? Perhaps, she made it out of the building and went into safety. I hope she made it out and went to safety.

...the enemy is busy looking for the relic and the Senate will made up their minds regarding the conflict between Utopia and the Zelagross rebels.

...i guess i still have time. As long as the enemy line of search is not within the direct path of my intended hideout, i think it's allright until i received any new orders.

...time to go. The announcement should be up at any minute now. The Foundation needs to know the outcome of the conference summit.

...other matters can wait. For now...

Madcap Murdoch

It's a bird...it's a plane...no! It's just a mandrake. Like in any legendary and magical folklore, Mandrakes are usually some kind of witchy plant that when pulled out, the roots (in a demented humanoid form) are going to produce such a shrieking racket that could kill a human being.

It's was claimed that back in the medieval times, a donkey was tied to the Mandrake plant and whipped, to pull the Mandrake out, sacrificing the donkey but not the human who harvest them.

Enough of that chaps, we are now viewing the profile of AIC Chronicles first non-human character! Madcap Murdoch, the Mandrake! cute little bugger ain't it? Rose was tired with so many human character piled up that she suggested to us that "if there is anymore introduction for new characters in AIC Wars Chronicles, let it be un-human".

The original character concept for Madcap Murdoch was a Librarian just like Ain Khairi, but more on seniority...however after considering the much to ordinary appearance of new characters, we go for a less stereotype and non static alternative character form like...a mandrake!

Note that Madcap Murdoch "human form" was used to make Skoolkidz.

Unlike any other Mandrake that we saw in the media or books...Madcap Murdock is a highly educated bookworm. Spending time caged up inside the Utopian State Library Archives must've sparks Madcap interest in books, knowledge and education.

Such an interest earns Madcap the nickname "walking dictionary".

Madcap Murdoch small sizes was always being underestimated by the opposing enemy. Although Madcap possesses the Mandrake plant famous "scream of death" most of the time the skills is used to cover up retreats in oppose to offensive maneuvers. Madcap screams stuns the enemy for some period of time...which makes a good escape and avoiding skills.

Strangely, Madcap Murdoch was created by a Maritime Exploration and Ocean's Geography Librarian, Ain Khairi. She must've been studying Botanical and subjects about exotic plants...either way, Madcap Murdoch claimed that it embodies all the personality traits of it's creator, which is why they are always entangled up in an argument...(with Madcap won most of the time!)

Fabrication Of Facts!

The Utopian Global Broadcasting Centre Station and News Network. Five minutes before the Senate and Queen Rasa dialogue conclusions;

Broadcaster 1: Where is that Ume Modoki! The Queen is about to step onto the podium again and she should cover the whole scoop for the news!

Broadcaster 2: I saw her went out during the first recess, chief. Maybe she's out to get some coffee...

Broadcaster 1: Coffee? Coffee!!! Coffee...this long?!

Broadcaster 2: I'm sure she will be back soon enough.

Broadcaster 1: She will! But the Queen and the Senate wont! They will continue this eventfull talks without her, and we...we will miss out our lifetime scoop for our news channel!

Broadcaster 2: Well chief, we do it without her....right?

Broadcaster 1: Wrong! I want her to be here right now and cover the whole news personaly. She is like a mascot for this news network. Nothing gets to be on air without her appearance.

Broadcaster 2: Someone's at the door. Maybe it's...

Broadcaster 1: About time you came, Modoki! You still had a lot to do before we wrapped up for the day...

Winterberry: Well then, just die...

Broadcaster 1: ..........!!!!

Broadcaster 2: Wha...what the hell happened?!

Winterberry: ...how's that for a big mouth....

Broadcaster 2: Ume Modoki! What have you done? You murdered your own workmates?!

Winterberry: The names Winterberry...and you will follow his footstep if you can't keep your mouth shut!

Broadcaster 2: What do you want?

Winterberry: Smart as always...simple, you just do what i told you to do and you lived to see another day.

Broadcaster 2: ...are...are you working with the rebels?!

Winterberry: I have no time to get myself tangled up in your country civil war...

Broadcaster 2: ....

Winterberry: Let's start with giving me access to the Utopian Global Broadcasting Satelite codes...

Broadcaster 2: No! Such are classified codes.

Winterberry: ...like i care...

Broadcaster 2: I can't do that...the crime sentence is enough to get both of us face executions!

Winterberry: Do as i say, or i execute you here...right now!

Broadcaster 2: You will leave me alone after this whole damn thing is finish? You...you won't kill me?

Winterberry: You have my words. Now give me the codes...

Broadcaster 2: Allright...ACD6878868H...now what?

Winterberry: Now, we wait for the next set of intructions.

Broadcaster 2: ...

Blackout!

The Senate Hall Central Lobby. Sentries team gathered at the designated rendezvous point. Reppu's team and the West Sentries arrived first, only to find that they had communication difficulties with the main Headquarters...

Reppu: HQ, this is Reppu's Team...do you copy? I repeat...this is Reppu's team. Do you read me, HQ...over!

Soldier 1: Problem, sir?

Reppu: The communication link is not working. HQ did not respond to my call.

Soldier: What about the communications between squads?

Reppu: Time to find out. Deadbird....this is Reppu, come in Deadbird...

Deadbird: This is Deadbird, Reppu. I read you loud and clear, over!

Reppu: The West Team and North Team had made it to the Utopian Senate Hall central lobby, over...

Deadbird: Why are you telling me this Reppu, you should relay the information to the HQ for further assessment.

Reppu: I beg your pardon, but we can't contact HQ. We have been trying to do so since the last ten minutes. Could you relay the message to HQ please? There might be some technical breakdown on our communication system.

Deadbird: What about the West Team radio equipment?

Reppu: Negative, they also have the same problem...

Deadbird: Hold on for a moment, i'll give it a shot at HQ.

Reppu: Affirmative.

Soldier 1: Reppu, Sir...Yuusuke's team is on thier way here. Due to the distance different between the four main sentry points, they will be here in an hour.

Reppu: Good...and the South Sentry?

Soldier 1: ...not much on the news sir, only that they are "on their way" here.

Reppu: The South Sentry Team is nearest to this lobby. How can they be this late when they should be arriving hours ago?

Sanji-Q: Deadbird, Reppu was right...I can't hail HQ...if HQ had some technical difficulties over the main radio channel they should have informed us by using the radio comlink.

Deadbird: The military central communications, downed?

Sanji-Q: I hate to say this but, i had a very bad feeling about this whole communications blackout...thing!

Deadbird: Yet you say only human "feels"...

Reppu: ...this is serious.

Divinekid: I'll go and take a look. I will bring a squad with me...Sanji-Q you will stay here and keep an eye on our Queen.

Sanji-Q: Be carefull out there!

Yuusuke: Yuusuke here guys...to wrapped things up, as expected...i can't reach HQ as well...and it's all sunshine out there, natural phenomenon is out of the picture.

Deadbird: Well, we will find out once i reach HQ. Keep in touch, everybody...be frosty and keep updating with each other.

Sanji-Q: could it be sabotage?

Reppu: ...if it is, why not go straight to Queen Rasa and get rid of her?

Yuusuke: Maybe it's more than just killing the Queen...

Sanji-Q: I can't think of any other possible motives.

Deadbird: People, if it's the enemy, they wanted us to go dissaray...to be confused, to be uncoordinated once they are ready to strike.

Reppu: So what shall we do?

Deadbird: Until i get a fix on what's going on, i want you to continue securing the lobby...

Reppu: Right.

Deadbird: ...and when the South Team arrives, they better give me a good explanation on why they are terribly late!

Reppu: Will do, out!

The Lazy Song

Today i don't feel like doing anything.
I just wanna lay in my bed.
Don't feel like picking up my phone.
So leave a message at the tone.
'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything.

I think you folks have quite bit the rough picture of what kind of situation that i am in for this week. HaHaHa! Maybe with all other works and obligation been shoving onto my workdesk i have little time to spare yet for AIC.

If i do have time to spare it's all dedicated for rest. I am taking a break from AIC and the next post marathon will be on this coming Thursday.

Yuusuke

Yuusuke is the mercenary network "Rising Star" known for his reputation for getting the big deal with little or zero amount of risk involved. Yuusuke came from the same hometown as Alonqexe, although Yuusuke was about 6 years younger than him.

Yuusuke came from a poor nation whom land was ravaged by unsettling climate of long cold winter and barren hot summer tundra. The economic activities are almost non existence. Due to the high survival nature of the nation, most of Yuusuke countrymen excels on being a hunter or mercenaries. The hard survival type of living comes naturally, and fame and fortune is the main drive to escape from such a painfully life.

Like Alonqexe, Yuusuke ditch school early, (while Alonqexe ditched his medical school during college years) while money is a staple problem for Yuusuke...things got worst when his mother undergo treatment and the medical bills starts rolling in. Yuusuke could not afford having to study and paying for both his mother and him for much longer. Yuusuke decided to quit school on his thirteenth birthday and joined the mercenaries.

Yuusuke joined Alonqexe and Lutherniel's group. The duo is known for their reputation of "play it safe", picking out less risky contract but doing so in a large quantity too compensate with the more riskier but well paid jobs.

After years of forming a trio, Yuusuke was frustrated by the low rate of income generated by the completion of every little contract made by the team. Worse, the whole booty was divided between three person, thus making the whole profit even lower. Yuusuke has no time for low profit, he need to cure his mother's illness before it's to late. So he left the team and look for his own mercenary deal.

When Yuusuke and Alonqexe met at the Utopian Capital during the Zelagross assault breiffing, they are still sour about the past incident.

Frontline

Utopia Federation Spaceport

Lie L C: it has been quite a while, Lord Mana.

Lord Mana: Since we have to break communications…thanks to Lord Flame impulsiveness, I was thinking that while we were all waiting for the senate’s decision we might as well update our report on the current progress.

Lie L C: If it’s about the security level in the capital, my lord…everything is normal…that if you considered unrest or two is normal in this kind of situation.

Lord Mana: Maintain the security force at its optimum. That will do much of the tricks, the reserve is more than sufficient to keep the Utopian capital commoners population at bay.

Lie L C: Yes, my lord.

Lord Mana: Make sure that the skies are clear when Lord Daisuki arrives.

Commissar Halfy: Lord Mana, the senate will commence their assembly very soon.

Lord Mana: Yes…it is unwise too say too much on things. Wait for my signal, until then…just watch over the airspace.

Lie L C: …understood.

Outskirts of the Utopian Capital

Michii: …

Commoner 1: I am overwhelming with nervousness. There’s a lot of “if” playing in my mind right now.

Michii: Clear all your doubt, we are here to help you.

Commoner 2: Then why do we have to rendezvous with your friend now instead of making a move?

Michii: One of our allies will meet us here and give us all the firearms as well as supplies needed for the cause. Please be patient.

Commoner 2: My only hope is this is not a trap…or those Utopian’s Grunts found out about us here.

Michii: No…I…I heard a vehicle coming this way!

(Car Engine)

Michii: ...that truck...it can't be!

Commoner: Is…is…that you Prime?

Michii: Perebum XS, is that you?

Perebum XS: Uh huh…you like my ride?

Michii: Sort off...and the goods?

Perebum XS: All stash up at the back of the truck. Give me a hand with all the loads...guys?

Michii: …not a problem.

Perebum XS: THIS…

Michii: …all this?!

Perebum XS: Your "rebel forces" need more than stick and stones if they are going to be of any help.

Michii: If the commoners fights, we could stage a better diversion for Tangerine.

Perebum XS: To fight better, they need better equipment. You need anything?

Michii: No. No, thank you.

Prebum XS: Whatever you say, you’re the boss. Well, you guys are ready to go?!

Commoners: We are ready to settle some score with those militants!

Michii: You are coming too?

Perebum XS: Of course I am going with you…I am your backup.

Michii: Have you scouted the road along the way. I hate surprises.

Perebum XS: Don’t worry; I spotted a few infantries and roads blocks along the way.

Michii: Let’s move out, people! We will overthrow this one-sided-government today!

Commoners: Yeahhhhh!!!

Perebum XS: Morale boost?

Michii: It helps! Lead the way…

Peredum XS: Here we go!
